3. Service Agreements

3.1 Quotations and Estimates

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Prices may vary based on property requirements, accessibility, and additional services requested.

3.2 Contract Formation

A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and pay the required deposit. All work is subject to a site survey and may require adjustment based on technical feasibility.

3.3 Payment Terms

Payment terms are as follows:

  • 50% deposit required upon contract acceptance
  • Remaining balance due upon completion of installation
  • Payment methods include bank transfer, card payments, and approved financing options
  • Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month

4. Installation and Service Delivery

4.1 Access Requirements

You must provide safe and reasonable access to your property during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday). Additional charges may apply for weekend or evening work.

4.2 Completion Timeline

Installation timelines are estimates and may vary based on complexity, weather conditions, or unforeseen technical challenges. We will notify you promptly of any delays.

4.3 System Handover

Upon completion, we will provide system training, documentation, and warranty information. You are responsible for testing and approving the installation before final payment.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on our installation workmanship from the completion date. This covers defects in our installation work but excludes normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse.

5.2 Equipment Warranty

Smart home devices and equipment carry manufacturer warranties. We will assist with warranty claims during the first year of installation at no additional charge.

5.3 Warranty Limitations

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by power surges or electrical faults not related to our installation
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs
  • Normal wear and tear or battery replacement
  • Internet connectivity or third-party service issues

6. Customer Responsibilities

As our customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and requirements
  • Ensure adequate internet connectivity for smart devices
  • Follow provided operating instructions and safety guidelines
  • Notify us promptly of any issues or concerns
  • Allow reasonable access for maintenance and support visits
  • Keep login credentials and access codes secure

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited as follows:

  • Total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract for services provided
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
  • We maintain appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
  • This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Cooling-off Period

For contracts signed at your home or away from our business premises, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract signature during which you may cancel without penalty.

8.2 Cancellation by Customer

If you cancel after work has commenced:

  • You are liable for all costs incurred to the date of cancellation
  • Equipment ordered specifically for your installation may not be refundable
  • A reasonable cancellation fee may apply to cover administrative costs

8.3 Cancellation by Us

We may cancel the contract if payment is not received as agreed or if access to the property is unreasonably restricted. In such cases, you remain liable for work completed.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us in writing. We will investigate and respond within 10 business days.

11.2 Alternative Dispute Resolution

For unresolved disputes, we participate in alternative dispute resolution schemes. You may also have recourse to small claims court or other legal remedies.
